Dont...you have a preloading option to install the game and wait till the release day to play it?

That is what happened to me with Torchlight 2 when I had it on pre-order ;o

I pre-loaded (installed but cant play before the release date) 2 days before the release date and after the release date was able to play the game ;o.

(Maybe it'll work?)

Or maybe you will have to wait the next day..?

that's not his problem, his problem is that he can only play the game at launch day which is tomorrow but if he wouldn't have bough it over steam, he could play the same game already because some retailers always sell the  games some days before launch in some countries (they sell the games at the moment they get them)

so, he has to pay the same on steam for a digital download to get the game later as the retail version.

sure only few days but if you really love a game it is horrible if your friends speak about it and already play it and you still have to wait^^

You understand me

Well idk about all these other countries but here in the United States when you pre-order a game you do not get it early unless some mistake was made which is rare. So preordering from steam is really good as you can install it before the game comes out instead of downloading it the day it comes out.

But why do you guys pre-order games then? You have absolutely no benefit.

When I pre-ordered Mass Effect 3 I got it on th 5th of March and the european release date was March 9th. So I had the chance to play this Masterpiece 4 days earlier. That is an advatange, otherwise you could just go to the store on day 1 and buy it.

Boo hoo... cry about a REAL problem, lol.

Well Fuck you... I don´t cry about anything. I am just saying it is pointless to pre-order games like that. And if don´t have anything usefull to contribute then stay the fuck out of this Thread

I gave you two reasons why people pre-order. On Steam there's another: Pre-load.

I know I was just reacting to this useless post.

Put yourself in my situation. If you pre-order Retail you can get the get the 3-4 days sooner for the same price and the same bonuses. So Steam pre-order does not make sense in this situation.

it isn't out till tomorow in Europe, which isn't long away

I have pre-ordered Dishonored on Steam, and still couldn´t play it. I usually pre-order games at Gamespot for the same price and get the games four, five days sooner. My  friend has pre-ordered it at Media Markt and got it already >.<

yeah in germany it is very very easy to get games some days before official release, seems like it is the same in austria.

It is pre-ordering like this makes no sense. I could have easily bought it on release date.

and.. you just figured that out now? it's not an iphone, ofc you can walk into any store and buy it on release ..

Seriously though, if you actually think the only reason for preordering is to get it early, you're retarded... do you even know WHY people get them early when they preorder from stores online? Because those store send out their copies days before the official release date, so that the customers get them on time, if it comes early or late, it's nothing to do with the store, but the postal service, since y'know, they're the ones that deliver games...

I guess you'd hate having to go into a store and preordering too then, since not only do you have to wait until release day, but... and listen to this, it's awful! You have to go out to the store and pick it up yourself!

DUN DUN DUNNNN!

I have always pre-ordered games at my local Gamestop. It is a real store in a Mall.

Btw. are you just stupid or do you like acting this way? Because I have stated several times that if I pre-order a game at "GAMESTOP" I get it 3-4 days earlier.
