Forums - Gaming - Is there anything wrong with a game that is the same year after year?

Madden games are pretty much the same year after year, but still tend to sell boatloads of games. Even though they are the same EA still manages to "Sell it".

You can say the same thing about Coke, which only has seen slight ingredient changes throughout the years. There is nothing wrong about that either :P

Yearly releases should be way cheaper, like 40$
people paying 60$ every year for a roster update, or a new 5h campaign is insane and stupid

No I dont see anything wrong with it. If its what people want then why not give it to them. People pass judgement with their wallets.

True. I still buy coke too! Great example.

They changed it once and it was horrible. Pepso also made clear pepsi before, but they decided that it was not working.

EA is doing good right now so they must know what they are doing.

Give it a month.

Oh! Are they doing well right now? I was being sarcastic.

Haha, no, not really, but they can always go lower!

Well I'm buying Call of Duty games for the campaign so sue me.

As long as a "sequel" doesn't only offer additional maps it's not wrong to do the same over and over. I don't know about all sports games but the soccer games really change (at least every two years). They try to do better but sometimes fail, that's how life goes.
If they don't come up with new things they could easily go the DLC way, though. New maps, new/updated teams or whatever every year when the core game is stable and fun. People should just be careful and not blindly buy everything. When it's a rip-off the companies kind of deserve to suffer from bad sales so they do better next time and don't treat their customers like sheep.

in tennis games... i hate it when they remove my fave players

only the man with the gun forcing you to buy it every year is wrong...

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

does'nt matter to me,as long as the series is good.
