what do you think, does capcom "ruin" the series? (operation racoon city was also not so great)

it could be still a good game if we take destructoid (jim sterling) and gamespot out but that is clearly not what resident evil was once.

I liked two of the three demo levels, so I'll still get it. Disappointing, though.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: without Shinji Mikami, this franchise is nothing.

Not what I wanted to hear. This was probably my most anticipated game of the year. I've been avoiding any info on it. I won't even read the reviews. I wonder if the game is really that bad or if people are finally tired of all of the stuff we've been overlooking since RE4 (absurd, convoluted storyline, focus on action instead of atmosphere, etc).

The Resident Evil franchise has had a long existence. Started getting stale back with code veronica in my opinion. Anyway this is good news for me since I didn't play 4 till I got my Ps3 and I didn't buy 5. So these bad reviews will probablly hinder sales means it will go on clearence at my store faster.

But about the scores... 30 should be reserved for absolutly broken games. Almost unplayable... I doubt this game is that bad. Destructoid are terrible reviewers

I always knew it was going to be bad. It's capcom after all.

I don't think anything other than Street fighter, dragon's dogma and some others like DmC will be worth getting from them.

Actually if you look at the overall reviews most seem to agree its a mixed bag. Brilliant in some sections and bland and boring in others.

Should be at least a decent game but still dissapointing
