Forums - Sony - Sony has axed “Pulse” with Christina Lee

I am not sure if anyone here has watched this show before on the NA PS store but if any of you did like/watch it; then I regret to tell you that the show along with Christine Lee (host) is no more.

The last episode aired this past July 3rd and normally she signs off by saying “see you back in” and gives a date for the next show. However, this time she just thanks everyone for watching Pulse and nothing more, which I thought, was kinda odd.   So on last weeks playstation update blog I asked what was happening with the show. I got a response back that “Pulse” is no longer in production. Also today on facebook, Christina Lee gave an update/goodbye post on her page.

I am assuming this is one of the departments that Sony has cut recently and it’s a shame, I did enjoy that show. Now it joins Qore on the retirement list. There’s only “Access” left now on the Europe side of things with respect to “media” shows/info now.

That's too bad.  I suspected that was going to happen.

Good. I understand this show had very little costs associated with it but right now even the smallest resources are important. Ending this show shows Sony is reevaluating the effectiveness of its money.

Nooooooo!

It's okay, there's a new woman presenting stuff at Sony. She's pretty... good...

I figured as much after the date passed for what should have been a new episode. Shows like that are great to have but more exposure would be nice. Perhaps PS4 will have a dedicated PlayStation news section (probably PS Blog) right on the OS that is sleek and fast. If this is allocating resources and extra responsibility to PS Blog I'm happy. That site always impresses, it just needs PS3/4 integration and a Vita app. I have a theory the PS4 will include a facebook-esque PS Blog interface for PlayStation gamers. It would greatly enhance communication, advertisement, and customization capabilities.

Now that both Qore and Pulse are gone there is a chance of them taking a fresh start to make a new show once PS4 hits that will just be streamed from the OS.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

Likely same reason that Inside XBox stuff also went away.  At this point, next to nothing is gained.  Shame people would be out of work.

I will miss Christina Lee.  I get attracted to women doing these videogame geek shows.

If Sony is going to drop that show they need to up the marketing on PSN. Besides, I miss my Veronica Belmont!

Good riddance. Something like that isn't necessary.
Next up is The Tester. Now, I kinda enjoy the show but it is it really something worth putting resources into?

I take that show as an iconic sign of the times.  Yes, you have to go through a game show in order to land one of the worst entry level positions in the industry.  It used to be, when you won a game show, you got a bunch of money and prizes.  Now, when you win one, you get a job.
