Not sure how many characters were people expecting. The list looks good to me but i don't really play fighting games all that much.
So they just decided to ignore Shadow of the Colossus, the best game to ever come out of Sony?

You are looking over this whole thing from the wrong angle. See it from my perspective! I love Killzone, Uncharted, God of War, Twisted Metal, InFAMOUS. And I won't include your R&C + J&D. To even have people like Radec, Drake, Kratos, Sweet tooth and Cole in one game is insane to me. You listed two people from Halo and Gears. I can list 4 from Uncharted alone. But you cannot relate, perhaps it is because you never got attached to these characters. I do reckon you getting a PS3 (and no playing on your "friends" isnt the same) fairly recently whereas I have had it as nearly as long as you have had your 360.
I refer all of you to this thread Where Selnor claims the game isnt full of a "rememberable" cast. "My confusion with this is Sony doesn't have any memorable characters. Its true. Kratos, Parapa the Rapa, Drake they are all forgetable." With all due respect, to me: I will never , ever, forget Nathan Drake. That character in a way, has inspired me beyond that of a video game. I don't expect you to understand that. After all, you probably find someone like Marcus Fenix to be more "rememberable". Maybe even not. But you have to understand there are people beyond you in this world and not everyone shares your opinion. What are you? Some kind of fortuneteller? You say its your personal opinion or whatever. Yeah, we know it too well and if you actually contributed to the discussion in any way that was new, perhaps we would care. It's exactly as my obsession with Uncharted and the constant praises and jizz anthems I throw everywhere. I am no better. The whole internet errupts into "PS allstars roster sucks ass". But out of this entire thread we will pick on Selnor because hes the only one saying what he would like in a battle game.
Why did Selnor use Xbox?
Because thee internet first loled at Microsoft claiming they wouldnt be able to do it as they didnt have the characters.
Now the internet is slagging off PS allstars because it lacks characters and they hate the roster.
Ironically Microsoft could make this type of game with more first party characters than Sony and not use 3rd party like Raiden. Really?
Raiden is on my Xbox 360 as I have MGS 2 and 3 in HD on Xbox Live Arcade.
Rares characters hold alot of weight to Nintendo gamers. And wouldd probably make more sense to those who play SSB.
EDIT: You maybe the only solitary Sony fan who doesnt enter an Xbox thread in VGC to post and run. But every single thread except the official Halo thread on VGC for Xbox gets ransacked by Sony fans. They wouldnt dare touc the official Halo thread, its the one thread that is packed with people to kick them out.
VGC is a sad state of one rule for one one for another and has been for about 18 months.

But on a serious note this roster, I've been playing games since before I could talk and I couldn't believe I had to actually wiki 3 of the characters from it because they were from games where their original games absolutely drew no attention from me (those characters are spike, nariko and radec btw.... I had to reopen the first page to get the last guys name again...) but yeah I think even if you never played a nintendo game in your life you would still know where the characters in smash bros all had came from, perhaps not the Earthbound characters but I don't think there is a person alive who doesn't know the likes of pikachu/mario/link(even tho most would call him zelda) I guess the issue is when it comes to Nintendo almost every really over the top popular game on those systems are all first party, whereas sony branchs off and gets loads of third party interest builds a system for them to make games on more so than their own games, Like iconic "playstation" all stars for me would have to include Cloud/Squall/Zidane(square) Chris Redfield/Jill Valentine (Capcom) The silent Main character from GTA3/Lance Vance/CJ (Rockstar) Jehuty/Anubis (Konami) Solid Snake (Konami) the list could go on for some time but you get what I mean, the majority of Icons from the playstation games are mostly 3rd party but my god what I wouldn't give to be giving the baseballbat beatdown to Zidane with GTA3s character.
On the upside tho! the roster does have a couple of cool out characters, the complaing about Fat Princess and Bigdaddy... if you know your smash bros you know you need a Bowser or a DK in there to take a heavy beating and keep going those characters fit the bill perfectly, and once I get my hands on my copy of this my Parappa is gonna be kicking and punching til I'm in all the minds of my opponents :D
This game should sell tho, I mean lackluster roster so far aside it's launching right into the Xmas market and with Crossbuy you know you are getting 2 games for the price of one even if you don't own a vita atm you will have the ability to download this game for free if you do pick one up.
-btw given the chance I would totally main "Coles Identical twin" that had me in tears laughing :D

what are you ranting about? How exactly is he bashing ninty fans? and no..most sony fans have pointed out the good and the bad about this game from the start. He is absolutely right on that. He is also right about the dlc

Second please READ. Where did I say Sony fans cant accept the games flaws? I just made a general example of a useless comment and in this comment I just said SONY fans are the only ones defending it.
This means "Nintendo and MS fans dont defend it" AND NOT: "SONY FANS CANT ACCEPT THE TRUTH BLAHBLAH" like your interpretation of my reply seems to suggest.
And please remember this was just an example:
it is not true that Nintendo or MS fans dont defend the possibillity of DLC characters.
Again this was just to showcase how a useless part of a commnt looks like. One with no other purpose than keeping the fire burning.
