And ive read some reviews on windows 8 and in summary, they arent great for desktop PCs, unless one is going to get some touchscreen monitor or what have you. The whole strategy of having the OS built a little bit for the PC and a little bit for the tablets in the end satisfy neither. I could care less if tablets have grown, the biggest market is still PCs and Microsoft is ditching it. Apple and Google could care less. |
From the reviews I've read it's a little bit PC and a lot for touch screen mobile devices. If you have a phone or tablet with Windows it'll likely be a decent experience. Everything I've read about the desktop version sounds like it'll be bad for PC devs and a complete annoyance for users.

I hope both come shops come to London soon, just so I can look around.

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030
There is one down the street from me. It's pretty cool, and the walls are all window and change every now and then. You sort of get a better idea what the company is about and what it is trying to do. And what things will be more like in the future.
It was the first place I saw a Surface (the big one, before the tablets that are coming out.) And the first play I saw Kinect.
It is sort of like this - only you can talk to computers too:

You complain about both, but Microsoft's most successful years are also its least original years, so I suggest you pick one set of goalposts instead of moving them back and forth at a whim. |

He's just confusing the issue, I'm not complaining thateither strategies are bad, but rather that doing both at the same time looks like a losing proposition
