I love Mass Effect 3, a bloody well lot. Great ending that is fitting of war.

If you've ever put your heart and soul into something you know how hard it is to take critisism. The backlash for these games was huge. It definitely played a part or the docs aren't human. 

Here just to say that Mass Effect 3 was a masterpiece ending included, pure art. -- And after that Bayonetta thing ohh man i know what these ''fans'' are up to... Sad the guy(s) left, if it was or not for that reason.

The Backlash was not that huge as a lot of people liked it, but were ignored by the angry ones and Mass 3 was rated really highy, as it deserves it. The ending is bitched about because it is sad, meloncholy and not optimistic, people must have wished for  Shepardto be banging all the aliens and humans he screwed along the way in on giant orgy. Dark endings are good as they can be realistic and different from the norm.

It is speculative because people quit things all the time for subjective reasons most people never know about except the person making the choice  and those closest to them. In other, words this is normal internet speculative crap.

The initial fan backlash is justified, it was an absolute nonsensical mess of an ending. But bioware did good through the extended cut and leviathan to turn things around, which created an ending many were satisfied with. But still many dedicated fans are angry and going to the bioware forums now is depressing as every thread is another complaint.

Seems to me, they loved the series so much the wanted a great conclusion that is impossible to make. Most shows with longs stories do not end the way fans want it to. So it is nothing new because it is really hard to make an ending most people love in any kind of story medium from books to movies to games. In other words, this is normal fan reaction to endings in series they loved.

Why is that such a bad thing? They made a game which seriously damaged EA's public image. Senior management /exist to be responsible/. It's why they get paid the big money and it DOES fall to them to leave when their team screws up that badly.

Coming from a guy who only has Nintendo games played on his profile. hmmm.

To be fair they have one of the worst fanbases in gaming history, the literally demanded they they remake the endings lol
