i dont care if you already own those games or not, objectively, its the best launch lineup ever, if you dont like it for whatever reason its your problem

no, it's not objectively because there is no "objectively" how you measure if one launch line-up is better as another one. that's exactly the reason why some people mentioned the multi-plat situation. and you don't have to complain about them and say it's "because of nintendo"

it's about "what makes a lauch lineup strong to justify the purchase of that console" and if some think multi-plat games don't make it strong and a console with more good exclusives but less games overall at launch is more worthy to buy because of more games you can't get anywhere else it's their good right to think that and it doesn't make it wrong just because you don't see it like that.

Around the Network

No. 50% of the games are already available for the current generation consoles.

yes objetively means look up on meta or GR the rating for the games released on the WiiU and the ones released for the others at launch

I think what he's trying to say is that when it comes ot the other consoles and their launches, multiplats are still counted toward the quality of the launch line up.   Better stated, many of the same people denouncing the quality of this line up based on multiplats praised the maultiplats on their own console launches.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

its about quantity and quality, not about, i already own that game, or that doesnt interest me, or whatever

I don't know enough about launch line-ups past, nor about the quality of the games in the Wii U's, to declare this the "best ever." But it sure looks like a damn good line-up.

Let's check this claim.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Skylanders Giants
Transformers Prime
Wipeout 3
Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two
FIFA Soccer 13
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Wii U Edition
New Super Mario Bros. U
Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge
Nintendo Land
Sing Party
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper
Darksiders II

Assassin's Creed III
ESPN Sports Connection
Just Dance 4
Rabbids Land
Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2013
ZombiU
Scribblenauts Unlimited
Game Party Champions
Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition

You were incorrect. 6/23, or about 1/4, of the launch day games are already available for other consoles. I wouldn't really count Darksiders II, as it's 'new' enough that DLC is still being released for it. Additionally, the PS360 versions of NG3 are terrible, and if this one is significantly better, the port is definitely justified. FIFA and Tekken both just came out this month, so the Wii U version isn't very late to the party. It's functionally no different from timed exclusivity. I have easily brought it down to 2 out of 23 launch day games being "old" ports.

ok so if the next xbox will only get games available on wii u/360/ps3, same graphics, gameplay and everything, it is the best line-up ever because there will be 10 80+ games at launch? for who exactly will this line-up be even interesting? for me it sounds like the worst line-up ever and no one will be interested in that console at release.

see, it is your good right to think like that (but i can't really believe you or anyone else would say that about the nextbox release then) but it is simply not a fact that you have to measure the strongness like that and because it is not fact it is not objectively to say that.

and even if you would be right, it makes it still not true when you say "ohh they say it because it's nintendo". maybe some do it because of that but not everyone, i believe for most it's just their honest opinion.

as example i already explained with my first post how i measure it, that means i am one of those who say it "because it is nintendo" right? so why should i say that as someone who even preordered the console already? would be little bit stupid fro me to say that because i have something against nintendo and then i am one of the first who bought the nintendo console...

damn all i really wanted to say is that you have to learn that not everyone who says something not in nintendo's favour has to say it because it's nintendo, some just say it because they believe it, whatever the topic is.

....

i think he meant "will be available at wii u release" as if we would look at it at wii u release day.

Actually, that list should include Trine 2, Nano Assault Neo, and the other downloadable games at launch. Honestly, those all look better to me than any of the retail releases.

All in all it is a decent software lineup, not the best and not the worst. It's really mainly weakened by the amount of older games finding a re-release. There's not much for the core audience to chew on, otherwise.
