What trend? That G+ is growing? Well, so is Twitter.

Twitter is the 8th most popular website in the world (which is amazing, considering that many users NEVER visit the website). Google, with all of their bundled services (excluding YouTube) is second behind Facebook. Referencing "active users" doesn't tell us much other than "people have logged in and done something". All you have to do is look at the activity on Twitter, Facebook, and Google+ to see the massive disparity between FB/Twitter and G+. I do a fair amount of internet marketing for my own projects and check all three every day. G+ isn't even close.

I don't know anyone who isn't on Facebook. Maybe 25% of my friends are on G+. From launch day to now, maybe 1/4 of those are still active on G+. That means less than 10% of my friends actively use G+. Twitter is even higher than Facebook for me. Everybody I know tweets at least a little.



Alright, so if and when G+ grows bigger than twitter, would you consider hopping over to G+???

I lolled at the one comment under the article:

"If 14% are men and 15% women, what are the rest? The percentages should add up to 100% or are there high percentages as "unknown" or is it just the cell users so the remaining 71% are non-cell users? Sorry just trying to understand the figures."



The stats measured may be hard to understand, but it is good statistics.  The Pew Research people don't make a bunk survey, they are very well regarded, basically at the level of NPD.

I would like to say hello.  I joined Facebook when it was only available to college students.  After awhile I realized that Facebook just isn't what I want to belong to.  I deleted my profile because I would rather not be bothered by people I used to know from high school or college that I don't even care to be in touch with.  Plus, most of the times people just add you and then nothing.  Hey, I used to know this person.. I think I'll add them as friends.  Also, you have the resetting of privacy settings (no longer do this due to outrage), facial recognition, being marked in photos by others, etc..  I'm good on all social media sites.

Yea there are a growing number of people that are leaving the site.  It will lose its appeal just like Myspace did.

Yeah, you can go ahead and write in Facebook being a prominent social network for at least the next decade. Too many people are fully committed to the site.

Maybe the statistics can be found online:  I am sure I read in a tech journal that roughly 50% of Americans are active users of Facebook (about June 2012 I think the figures were taken) so half of the USA don't bother with it.

The coutry with the largest pc of the population that are active on it was the UAE or Qatar or somewhere like that.

Western European countries were around the 25% - 35% of the population mark with the exception of the UK which was about the same as the US.

Facebook is no doubt huge but I hate when people say "everybody is on it" even though I know it is just a metaphor.

I know age and other stuff comes into it and I would love to see the statistics on that.

Solid p/e still, and yet these tech stocks refuse to pay dividends, also price is too high for majority of investors. I'll let big fish deal with Google.

Facebook isnt going anywhere, i have alot of my life into it to leave... its there i get all the information i need daily... Be from Bar Brtohers workouts, Bodybuilding, Sports, Football, Xbox, Playstation, GirlFriends, Friends etc.

Facebook will be king this decade.
