Forums - Nintendo - Platinum Games Confirms Nintendo Staff Are Working On Wii U Exclusive Bayonetta 2

Sorry if posted already

Bayonetta director Hideki Kamiya has confirmed via Twitter that, along with Platinum Games, Nintendo staff members are a part of Bayonetta 2′s development team. When asked if Nintendo producers are working on the sequel, Kamiya replied with a mere, albeit straightforward ‘Yup.’

This pretty confirms there won't be a 360 or PS3 port

There was a thread just some hours ago about it. It's really not necessary another one.

Old news is old, but still... anything that produces tears of rage from the over-reactive fanboys is good enough for me.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

I don't know why exactly, but this is a really cool story to me. Maybe I just like the idea of Nintendo (or any other console manufacturer for that matter) lending their help to a third-party project.

Platinum Games and Nintendo aren't exactly the Traveling Wilburys, but it's still nice to see a collaborative project.

Ok, so:

1. Nintendo is paying for the game to come out of cancellation and for the rest of development.
2. Nintendo is publishing the game.
3. Nintendo is down in the trenches, helping to code and design the game.

Yup, multiplatform for sure.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Now just to hope the original game gets a WiiU port so it's not completely incongruous.
