Forums - Nintendo - Who to use to defeat Giga Bowser in Super Smash Brothers Melee?

Hrmmmm, guess I'll have to look up all the moves on the characters and experiment with each to try it out.

Has anyone here gotten all the trophies?

What's a good tactic for taking him out with Marth, Marth works great getting up to him but for the most part he just chucks me off the edge before I can even break 100% damage.

What is this "Action Replay" I keep hearing people talking about in FAQs?

Action Replay is a product that allows you to cheat - like Game Shark, Game Genie, etc.

I got all of the trophies a couple years ago. Trust me, it feels pretty sweet when you finally get them all. I really don't remember who I used for this challenge, but it was probably Link, Samus, Mario, DK, or Fox. Those were the ones I usually tried out for the harder challenges in the game. It might have been Link that I used, but I really can't say for sure.

An Action Replay is the same thing as a Gameshark: a cheat device. Don't be weak and use one of those things. Do it the right way and it will be an achievement that means something to you, otherwise it's just some text and graphics in a game.

Don't give up on it. Few times have I been more frustrated by a videogame than when I was going for all the trophies. I consider myself to have very average skills in videogames, but I am fairly tenacious when I want something. All it took was some patience(after blowing my top dozens of times).

How many trophies are there in total?  I don't think I ever found all of them.

290. I think there were two others that could be unlocked via special events in Japan: Samus with her helmet off, and Mario riding Yoshi, if I'm not mistaken. I've heard these can be unlocked in the US SSBM with an Action Replay, but I don't know that for sure.

Well I'll need the gameshark to get at least those two bonus trophies.

Also, I beat Giga Bowser with three lives to spare, felt pretty damn good.

use jiggly puff purely for the down B move, if you use it when behind a character its one of the most powerful moves in the game, however if you miss you fall asleep and become incredibly vulnerable.

Sounds sexy, I'll give it a try in the event matches.
