The recent annnouncement of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 remix for PS3 has some people guessing that we'll see THIS on WiiU as well.  Personally, I don't.  The Enix branch of S-E may be generous and support Nintendo with DQX, but the Square branch never will.  That's why they're never bringing FF to WiiU, and that's why they will NOT bring KH to WiiU.  Let's face it:  Square will avoid WiiU and NEVER make any games for it.  THIS included.

And Final Fantasy?  That's one I'd LOVE to see return to WiiU.

 

(BTW, I apologize for the aggressive tone; I was just so angry at the announcement that I quickly assumed that Square was going to avoid WiiU just like they did N64, Cube, and Wii (for the most part).  I'd love to be proven wrong though.)

Well since KH1 and its sequel were PS2 exclusives, I doubt we'll see any remakes on a Nintendo system. It's not completely out of the question, just highly doubtful.

Man it's good for the system, but I just replayed those games... literally the last two games I played were those 2

Never say never ...

A large portion of third party publishers act in ways they can justify or defend, not necessarily in the way they want to.

That too, of course. It's an IP that nowadays is whored out to basically everything that can play games.


That's true, and S-E DID make that Luminous Engine to run it on all systems, including WiiU.

But those weren't REALLY FF games; they were just part of the Crystal Chronicles series.  The "Echoes of Time", from what I understand, was basically the DS game, and "Chocobo's Dungeon" I couldn't tell if that was a Wii exclusive or not.  I know "Crystal Bearers" was, and even that game, flawed as it was, at least attempted to do something different.  Too bad it was all but ignored by Wii owners.

What about Chain of Memories, two spin offs and Kingdom Hearts 3D?

You should of been more specific when mentioning the mainline series ;p

Anyways, between VII and X were some bad blood with Nintendo. XI and XIV wouldnt be easy to port over I guess for Squareenix since their online games (XI wouldnt of been able to work on GCN either ways I think). 

XIV could work on Wii-U but I dont think anyone's expecting it to thrive on a Nintendo system especially when it'll be competing against DQX. 

XIII wasnt possible cause the Wii wasnt able to run it.

Maybe we'll see XV who knows. I would honestly at this point rather see a REAL follow up to the original FF Crystal Chronicles that was released on the GCN. Imagine an actual storyline, HD graphics and improved gameplay, would rather see that than another FFXIII trilogy (l0l).


Yeah, I know ALL about the bad blood story between Nintendo and S-E and I know that XIII MIGHT have been on Wii if the system could run it.  FFXV is much more likely and possible.  Like I mentioned, there's no bad blood between Nintendo and S-E nowadays, so, it's possible.

 

I wonder if Crystal Bearers killed the CC franchise, though?  Hence why we haven't heard much from that subseries recently.

In relation to the KH I thought the only reason that it came to the DS was bc of the install base and Disney wishing it to be.

For a remaster of one game, and movie of the ds ones. It's not really a lost. Im sure we will see SE showing wiiU support in other way.
