well i won't bet on big leaps. this gen. cost alot of doors closed and big companies opted out of taking big risk, so i think dev. friendly consoles will be made next gen from Sony and MS.

But I don't understand their stupidity... In certain cases they're absolutely brilliant; how they made two of the best selling consoles of all time (their two very first consoles none the less!), and how they turned the PS3 around. the success of PS1 could be argued was aided by the fumbling of Nintendo and Sega - but it's still really impressive to sell 100m consoles...

I like that expression: dev friendly consoles :D I think Sony is in a peculiar situation; in many ways THEY could decide how next gen will go down. If they opt to be closer to WiiU in power and MS makes another huge leap, 3rd parties will develop for WiiStation and x3ox will get ports that don't utilize the full potential of the system...

they bet big, and it cost them. they thought the value, and brand name would sle the system, but i'm sure they see how wrong they were.

agreed. it woud be in Sonys best interest to do so. they may go for a bit more power, without the high cost. you've got to admit. the PS3 is the most expensive console to ever sell.

there was another system that cost $699 back in the 90's. i think it was the Atari 2600.

they keep making the mistake of banking be on multi tech.

yea, Wii should be the weaker of the 3.

yea. not really sure which console it was, but i'm almost positive Atari made it.

Screw it I'm ending my Neutral stance on Nintendo I hope they get 3rd place. I think Sony and Microsoft are the better companies so i will continue to support them. I was going to buy a Wii U but then i thought about it whats the point? I don't like any of Nintendo's first party games so it makes no since for me. But for anyone else that loves Nintendo's first party games and get the big games that have been on PS360 this whole gen i guess the Wii U is a great console.

I think that as long as WiiU gets all 3rd party games as well (and not gimped bastards) it'll be a great console. And right now I'm counting on it getting all 3rd party support :) it's the ultimate console for Nintendo fans!!

Your right about MS and Nintendo, but Sony has been making the high end specs for a while and with Vita going that route, I doubt PS4 will be any different



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.
