As long as browser is stable it should be fine. But why no flash

Because flash is on its way out.

OT.

This will have to go some to match the new 360 browser. Very quick, very stable and it too has HTML5

What else does the WiiU browser need to match the 360's browser? Does the 360 browser use the controller? Tablet? Kinect?

I think the 360 browser uses Kinect, but I don't see how that makes the Wii U browser worse if it doesn't...

Oh I don't think its worse, I thought Kowenicki was saying the 360's browser had some features the WiiU's browser doesn't.

Will do soon probably.

Wait so it doesn't have any features the WiiU doesn't? And I thought that was one of the features of Smart Glass? What can Smart Glass do if it can't use the 360's new browser?

No news on Skype yet? What video conferencing software will Wii U use, MiiVerseWatchU?

Tabs? Already better than the 3DS browser.

I'm glad it supports HTML 5, soon that blasted flash will disappear. I'm fed up with not being able to watch Youtube on my 3DS and watch embedded videos on my iPhone. Though Nintendo said that the 3DS browser would be worth using, ok it's better than the DS browser but it's still not worth using, unless I've turned my PC off and my iPhone battery is flat then I'll use my 3DS, otherwise I avoid it. Just really hope that the Wii U browser turns out to be worth using, as I like the idea of pausing a game and watching a YouTube video to get game hints and being able to go back to the game without having to switch the TV input to my PC's browser instead.

I really think this is mobile Chrome bases as those features (especially the tilt based ones) came in Chrome first.

Doesn't much matter. Dozens of companies have tried to get people to browse on their TVs, with no notable success. With the proliferation of smartphones, tablets, and what's left of pocket media players all offering a better browsing experience, browsing on the TV is a waste of effort.

Whatever browsing capabilities the Wii U has might help fill out a feature checklist, but it will have no impact on the marketplace.

I'd like to be able to easily play youtube videos and the like on my TV. All the time. The better the interface, the more likely I am to use that rather than have four people crowd around a 13-inch laptop screen.

My iPad has no Flash. My new tablet doesn't need either.
