Forums - Nintendo - Really? Nobody is impressed with what they showed with Nintendo TVii?

That's the most social rich and best implementation of video media service I've yet seen on any console so far but it seems nobody is really talking about it. I thought the multi-circle UI is super cool, why is nobody talking about this?

Can someone quickly outline for me what TVii does? Thanks xD

well it has everything you need to watch TVii

HBO, Netflix, cornflax, Hulu and Amazon among other channels that i don't remember :P

as well as sports stuff with  communication things built into the gamepad. so you can chat with your friends while watching football

you better watch the video to get everything they said about it. it's cool!

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

Ive seen it but i still dont really get it...to me it seems like a Super Duper Remote Control thingy. am i wrong?

"These features are not available in your country."

That is why I'm not excited.

I'm more interested in what it can do as a game console, not as tv hub.

This and the fact that we have been hammered with that crap for 2 straight years by Microsoft, which has pretty much made every gamer not want any TV related features ever in their console.

Ties together tons of services that... I don't use. There's nothing for me to care about here. Netflix and iTunes are pretty much the only digital video services worth using in Canada and all the cable companies can screw themselves as far as I'm concerned.

I'll be happy if Nintendo's IR blaster can get some remotes out of my living room, though.

It's ok... but just like morenoingrato... zero chances of that coming to brazil in the next 5 years.
Other than that, it's a cool concept and will have some cool nintendo touches/noises... but for this function, smartglass for example, should be better.
