When you keep it vertically it runs faster since gravity has a smaller surface to act on and slow it down.

your all wrong.

It is to distinguish between the basic and premum pack for the eshop to give you the 10% discount.

When in vertical poistion a latch moves and passes through another circuit which tells the eshop you are a PREMIUM MF.

AH NVM...
it is just purely cossmetic reason.
