Forums - Nintendo - GameStop offering $140 trade-in toward the Wii U with the PS3, only $50 for Wii

Hmm. I have an old 360 and Wii both that I don't use, and I'll have a hell of a time selling them for much more than what I'll get trading them in as a PowerUp Rewards member. But don't they require a controller when trading systems in? I'd rather not part with my controllers...

I have not idea. Are you saying you only have one controller for each system? O_o

Air Assault!

No, I just rather appreciate having a full set of controllers, and I also attribute high value to my controllers. But I have a few ancient Wiimotes and an ancient 360 controller or two, so I could deal.

that's a decent deal, for the people that want one really bad and don't have enough money. hahaha.

Gamestop requires everything that would be necessary to sell the system -- so that means it must work, have some sort of memory, have a controller and a TV hook-up.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Before you trade that Wii, remember the ability to transfer your downloads to the Wii U (how this will be accomplished not yet announced, but I doubt you can do it once you get rid of the system).

I on the other hand am tossing my 360 to them, the Wii will go later, or I may give it to someone. They offer something like 25-35 bucks for the kinect so I will be keeping that for messing around on the PC, along with one of the 360 controllers

**obviously I repeated something someone else said in order to post this quick, oh well**

$90 for my original xbox? ..that's actually pretty tempting. $210 for a wii U is quite fair. I've got like 8 360 games i wouldn't mind parting with either. $202 for a wii U is even fairer.

:O @ $1 a piece 360 games. What are they?

old.  the original gears of war, orange box, tomb raider (ledgends?), eternal sonata, other stuff even less notable.  ..it's been a while since i've played my xbox.

Nintendo Network Premium subscription.

What is this?  WiiU online not free?

I think its a deal so you get points with every purchase of digital content which equates to like 10% off future purchases. I may be wrong.

I was thinking about trading in my ps3, but I have so many accessories that I'm sure gamestop will give me next to nothing for and I don't want to try to sell them on their own. Will probably just sell it as a bundle on ebay after I play through The Last of Us. Hopefully it won't get a pricecut by then.
