Forums - Nintendo - Based on what I've seen...

The WiiU is beginning to look better and better.  It seems like Nintendo finally did it:  produced a system for 3rd party games to run on, and to make sure that 3rd parties will be there to stay this time... even when PS4 and 720 come around.  Now I have a lot more hope that we'll see the likes of Resident Evil, Metal Gear, Castlevania, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and other big name IPs on the WiiU, especially after today's conference.  And given that those aforementioned titles are Japanese, I wouldn't be totally surprised if they didn't make it to WiiU.

Not sure why this needed to be a new thread instead of just a post in another thread. But yeah, I agree. Nintendo looks to be doing this so right, it's scary.

Sorry.  But I just wanted to say that it's looking more likely now that we'll see those aforementioned franchises on the WiiU now.  Especially with the way the release schedule looks.

I was impressed by what they showed. Didn't expect to see Bayonetta 2 as an exclusive, Nintendo TVii, Aliens: Colonial Marines (Coming early on WiiU???). Add on all the other titles it looking pretty good.

This was better than E3.

Wasn't difficult! I was very impressed by the announcements today!

I cried this morning. I literally cried. It's just so beautiful!

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised by all the info and announcements today :)

yeah, but i remember being as much pleased as i am now right after the 2001 E3, and we all know how that turned out being........
not the same scenario here, but watch, obviously the system is going to be amazing for us, vg fans, but the casuals.....wait and see...i guess

I could be wrong but I suspect Nintendo was holding info back at E3 specifically for this event, and since E3 a whole bunch of things kind of came together that they decided to announce ... If that was the case I wouldn't even be that surprised if things they initially planned on announcing at this event (possibly games like a 3D Mario or Zelda or something) were left out for a later event. Basically, that they might have planned to show off games for Summer/Christmas next year but decided against it because they had enough to show without it.
