Forums - Nintendo - Black OPs 2 on Wii U highly suggested to be 1080p @ 60FPS, best in class with better options too

Honestly, I don't think the graphics on the demo yesterday were great. In fact, I believe I was looking at an upgraded Wii port.

And I'm serious.

The serie is 600p or 640p on PS360 and runs at 60fps.

I guess the Wii U version is 720p upscaled to 1080p.

Would people actually play COD on wii u instead of 360 or ps3?

They played on the Wii so...

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

Those with the Wii U version will be able to play with... the Wii remote...

Finally, Activision says that the Wii U version is capable of running at 60fps...

60fps and Wiimote support. Thank you, thank you. That's all I've ever wanted, really.

Consider it bought at full price.

That’s true for both local co-op and solo play. If you’re playing with a buddy, one of you can play on the TV and the other can play on the GamePad, whereas if you’re playing solo, you can play on the GamePad while the other people in your home do something entirely different with the TV. There will be an online multiplayer mode that lets players team up against AI enemies, but at the moment, we don’t know if that mode will feature alongside regular competitive multiplayer or if it will replace it entirely. Activision and Treyarch aren’t ready to talk about multiplayer in much depth yet, so expect more details on that soon.

Yeah, I have a hard time trusting the credibility of this source who says playing against bots may replace traditional online multiplayer completely in a CALL OF DUTY game, when obviously Treyarch was showing Combat Training, which is making a return from the original Black Ops.

I didn't even know wii had COD lol. Nvm then.

Yep, they put more effort into the PC version. Here's a tibbit:

"It’s pure Call of Duty, only amplified and streamlined. It’s a clear advantage over other consoles no matter what your preference are, or where your loyalty lies. Nintendo spearheaded motion gaming and the Wii U Gamepad is sure to kickstart the competition into rethinking standard controllers and start thinking about the second screen. A fact that already started with other consoles."

Well looks like the WiiU has the best version of COD:BO2

Again, it should have an advantage over the PS3 and Xbox 360 due to the controller... that's all the article is about.  An even more useful quote from your link reads:

"The Gamepad functionality is what separates Wii U titles from other consoles."

I also like how you took a screen from the part of the PC demo of Black Ops that heavily features motion blur.  Way to play with context.

Yes, this is the part no one is talking about.  The Wii U version is the first console Call of Duty game that the developers can brag about actually being in HD.  That's the reason for the 'Full' HD talk, as in 'fully in' HD.  Even if it's not upscaled to 1080p (which I don't believe it will be), this proves the difference between the powoer of the HD twins and the power of Wii U.  It's 640p vs 720p.  Now we know what 'at least on par with' means.

they haven't shown the PC version, that is the 360 version and the image quality is so terrible you can't see shit lol

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

Will the Wii U version also get DLC? Not really worth buying without the DLC capability.
