1) Very important, I agree
2) Also important. I don't, however, think Nintendo will pull this off with much finesse right away. Sony and Microsoft have years of experience, it's going to take a long time for Nintendo to get something rolling.
3) As much as I support Nintendo, there is no way they're getting good third party support unless outside factors really change the game up. There is nothing Nintendo can do themselves to change anything.
4) I feel like the support relationship pulls more in the opposite direction than you'd suggest. I think Nintendo sees a weakening market and moves on before the whole market collapses and they're left behind.
5) They won't have an issue here, so this one's in the book.
