Forums - Gaming - WiiU for the best launch lineup!!

i said it day one launch window titles were known, and people called me crazy
The WiiU has the strongest launch lineup ive seen so far

for me would be WiiU > GC > Vita

I agree, the Wii U launch lineup is very strong... but unless they can keep up the release schedule post-launch, things are going to fizzle fast just like they did with the Vita (which really did have an amazing launch line up)

Well, everything depends on what happens tomorrow. When I get the final list for launch titles/windows I'll decide. But it's looking like the best so far, for myself.

Wii U's launch lineup is definitely better than any other console in recent history, probably going back to the GC/Xbox launch 11 years ago.

However, it's more important for the Wii U that it continue to receive a steady stream of high profile 3rd party games well into next year leading up to the fall of '13, because it will need all the post-launch momentum it can get.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Most of game are ports?

Ports of worthwhile games, for one, doing the enhancement game like what the 360 or Dreamcast did in their day. Two, the last time a console launched with a 2D Mario was 20 years ago. Essentially, what we're looking at is the strongest console launch lineup since at least GameCube.

When fans start hyping ports is not a good sign...

Meh, I can see why people are exited, but only Zombie U and New Super Mario Bros U interest me on that list. Unless Nintendo Land is mind blowing, I will probably wait for a while until I buy the Wii U.

One out of 3D Mario, Mario Kart, Metroid, Super Smash Brothers or F-Zero is all I need to be convinced.

It's inevitable at a console launch. Pretty much all DS launched with worthwhile was a solid remake. Lots of console launches are ports of some sort, and Wii U is at least getting some good ones, along with very solid original content.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

ZombiU is the only wiiu exclusive that interests me at the moment, I really don't see myself getting this system with the current price and unless they release a plethora of great exclusive games over the next few years I doubt i'll ever get one.

What I got from that is that Nintendo now offers a way to play Wii U games while lying in bed. That's quite the change of direction.
And on the "they are not the same games" front, I can believe that NG3 is different enough, but having icons for quick whatever in ME3 does not make it a different game at all.
Other than that, GL to the Wii U. I have this idea that a tablet should not carry it's own processing power around but be effectively a terminal to a powerful stationary central unit (in the house). Wii U is kind of that, so let's see what it will do.

Anyone excited for NG3 is gonna be disappointed. Man that game was so bad, totally killed the franchise forever :(.

Solid launch line up for people who didn't have a PS3 or 360, hope Scribblenauts and Rayman find their way to Vita.
