In your dreams I say. Lets say 2009's best computers need a whole week to render 1 frame of this and a 2014 console will be able to render 60 frames of this per second ??? (this comparison is bullshit with the 1 frame per week thing but it shows what I mean.)
So NO WAY.
Maybe they mean It might be able to create close up ingame cutscene (like Final Fantasy 10 or Heavy Rain are "cheating" with their close up scenes or Mario 64's floating intro face looked way better than the actual mario face in the game)
But real ingame graphics like this wont happen for a PS4.

I am right with you on this one. Avatar did not wow me from a graphics or 3d point. Next gen consoles may not be able to reach the Tech levels of Avatar, but I think plenty will have better art direction that will make them more believeable.
As to those saying BS. This is only talking about lighting. They are not saying it will have the same depth of geometry, partical effects, ect.
Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Now we need to know what is "Avatar-levels of detail"... maybe it's not the same level of graphics.
I don't care about the graphics, but I do care about playing my game in fluid 30-60fps. If the new systems can do that and have the same level of graphics they do now, I'll buy into the next gen.
I'm talking about games like Dragon's Dogma and Dark Souls.
Talk about overhyping an entire generation of consoles
