Sony has annaounced an AR helm for TGS

I will have to see it in person to really know, but this just seems like a bad idea ...

People don't like wearing lightweight plastic glasses when going to the theater to see 3D movies, and the market has been very harsh to all stereoscopic headsets. As a concept (like concept cars) they might do something interesting with it, but I'm doubtful it could work as a product.

I always thought Virtual Boy was a neat concept, but about 10+ years ahead of its time. If Virtual Boy had full color graphics comparable to an N64 even, it'd have been a pretty interesting platform IMO.

I don't see this product going anywhere. I just don't see the market for it. Just another example of sony throwing money down the drain,in my opinion.

It's a wonderful product, I'm just worried about the marketability, because it would be nice for something like this to actually take off someday. I like virtual reality.
