Eurogamer

Stealth adventure Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will include loading screens as players sneak about its open world map.

Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima divulged the information to Eurogamer after the game's recent unveiling.

Ground Zeroes will also offer a day and night cycle, something that will boost replayability, Kojima added. Players will see differences throughout the world depending on the time of day, such as changes in enemy troop patterns.

Publisher Konami has this morning zeroed in on a gallery of screenshots snapped from Ground Zeros' first gameplay trailer.

That means you get another chance to gaze at the grizzled face of Snake (or rather, Big Boss). Kojima showed footage of him infiltrating an army base to rescue the young Chico, a child soldier previously seen in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.

Oh well, Game is going to be amazing.

Atto Suggests...:

Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

Music - Forest Swords

So, what will Snake be doing in the interludes this time? I reckon he'll be telling kids to "stay away from careers in game design, they're bad for you".

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

Loading times, huh? I bet that's a great way to help prevent the generic cookie cutter-esque feel many open world games have. At least allow more polish and it might explain the graphics we saw. As much as seamless gameplay has its benefits, there are trade offs.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

Wow, so when the Japanese mimic Western style games they fail comparatively almost all the time. Exception for Demon souls and Dark souls. Still looking forward to it, and actually expect it only to be a psuedo-open-world game.

Disappointing, but, hey, its a new metal gear, so disappointments are easily forgotten.

All of this, of course, is just my opinion.

Skyrim 100%'d. Dark Souls 100%'d.
Dark Souls > Skyrim.
Halo 4 is the best damn FPS since Halo 3.
Proud pre-orderer of 2 PS4's and an Xbox One.

Currently Playing: Dark Souls II, South Park
Playstation 4: MGS V GZ, Killzone: Shadow Fall, NBA 2k14.

Option A: Fancy graphics, load times.
Option B: Nice graphics, occasional lag and noticeable pop-in.
Option C: Dated graphics, little pop-in and virtually no loading whatsoever.

Pick your poison. I'd prefer Option C as long as the art design is good... but we're talking about Metal Gear, aren't we?

I'm referrng to possible repetitive terrain, repeat character models and animations, or quests that are identicle. Placing in load times will not ensure that these aren't in the game but by not dedicating power and allocating RAM to maintain the world and constant flow of gameplay a dveloper could concentrate on different aspects. I was not jabbing at open world games if that is what you are implying. All games has flaws, or I should really say limtations. That doesn't make a game bad or another category of game not hve similar or different limitations of their own.
