Loading times, huh? I bet that's a great way to help prevent the generic cookie cutter-esque feel many open world games have. At least allow more polish and it might explain the graphics we saw. As much as seamless gameplay has its benefits, there are trade offs.

as opposed to the generic cookie cutter-esque feel many non open world games have.

I'm referrng to possible repetitive terrain, repeat character models and animations, or quests that are identicle. Placing in load times will not ensure that these aren't in the game but by not dedicating power and allocating RAM to maintain the world and constant flow of gameplay a dveloper could concentrate on different aspects. I was not jabbing at open world games if that is what you are implying. All games has flaws, or I should really say limtations. That doesn't make a game bad or another category of game not hve similar or different limitations of their own.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(
