the first conduit was ok. The second game however was very good. But the bad taste left by the first game really held back the first game for consumers.

No, you don't have to reach a limit before you're limited by it. The consoles Ram and other technical capacities were limits at the concept phase of the game. I'm certain there were things they wanted to do that they knew they couldn't because of the platform they were designing for. Just because what ended up as a finished product wasn't necessarily pushing the wii's limits doesn't mean that the game they wanted to make wouldn't have blown those limits away.

Horsepower isn't the only limitation to games. Shooters on PS3/360 are limited by dual analogue control. (Except Killzone 3, and IIRC Resistance 3)
Conduit was only successful because Wii didn't have any better FPS at the time. It had a low bar to pass.
The only news I can see is the 3DS release of Conduit (both games put together?) which would make sense as once again there's no real competition on 3DS.

i see where you are coming from but i have to agree with lilbroex. Sure they could have done more if it was on PS360/PC but it still would have been a mediocore game, it would have been even worse because it would be up against FPS games that were actually good (Bioshock, KZ, Halo, etc.) IMHO it had more to do with the studio than the WIi. A quick look at the games they have developed they got crap like Ben 10, Diego, Nicktoons, Blitz, Captain America Wii version. All games that have been meh at best, you would have to have been real gulluible to believe a studio that makes whats mostly shovelware, all of a sudden could make a AAA or even A grade FPS.

I would be hard pressed to even call it a sucess, it took two years for it to even go gold and that was mostly discounted prices. For the ads and hype the game got, thats a flop.
I was going to say it would do good on Wii U but now that the system will be running FPS games that are just as good as the other systems it will make Conduit look even more mediocore. 3ds is a better shot but considering how "well" FPSs did on the DS that might even be a risk.

Controls arent limiting anything, LOL they dont mean nothing if the game you're playing sucks in the first place no amount of "better" controls will cover that up, if that were the case the Conduit series would have done much better and COD on WIi would sell at least close to the HD counterparts.
Well I really enjoyed the Conduits online multiplayer (I've even played with some vgcharterz). Although the second installments story didn't really grip me as much (stopped halfway through the single player campaign) the online multiplayer was a blast to play with the wii.

High Voltage have a lifetime licence of the Infernal Engine too which is very scalable so if they do bring a Conduit to the U it should look pretty good.
And I'd say that it's highly likely that they'll bring the Conduit franchise to the 3DS before the U.
