Forums - Gaming - How will Microsoft and Sony respond to the Wii U launch?

It will be referred to as "The late in the generation arrival"

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

So Nintendo cutting the price of the Wii - i seriously doubt it since this will convinced many casuals to buy the Wii over The Wii U.

Sony: Super Slim (if the rumors are truth)
Microsoft: Price cut, halo 4 and Kinect push

by posting inappropriate content on Miiverse

Super Slim and pricecuts, likely.

I'm guessing they got it right. I strongly believe that it will not only depend on Wii U start price point, but also of how strong its line up will be. I'm eager to know if they'll announce something new or a big exclusive.

Super Slim (at lower price)
Xbox price cut and $50 with two years service plan. OR they could really go nuts and give 360's away with a three year plan. That would hurt Nintendo.

I bet Sony will anounce an anorexic PS3 at TGS.

Quickly.

If that monthly fee was like 15$ with Live Gold included I can see that being a threat.

15 monthly x 3 years = 540$

Xbox console + Live Gold for 3 years = 430$ (I'm considering about euro pricetags here)

Microsoft could still rack in a ton of money while getting people hooked on Xbox live and brainwash them to pay for online for X720 when upgrading without monthly fees.

They might cut the price?? That's about it really.

Tease.
