You know we all were doing a pretty good job of ignoring the racism. Until you had to go and point it out. Could we please not go down that road. Nothing good will come from going there.

But my grandma, was arrested and jailed 3 times for walking on the sidewalk shoeless. She was poor, couldn't afford any shoes... That was during Portuguese dictatorship.

The officer that used to arrest her is still alive and can barely walk down the street. The old bastard. Half of the village hates the mean old man.

No I haven't and wouldn't want to be there ever. It's more than just the temporary bad surroundings of jail.

I mean just going there once would pretty much screw you over for life. That conviction would end up in your criminal record and you probably wouldn't ever get a proper job in life.

I'm not sure where you live but it sounds like the cops could have handled that situation a little better than they did.
