I called the cops on my Ex for trying to take my Dodge Durango. I pulled the keys away from her. Cops came I told the story. Since we were not divorced she had every right to be at house and take the vehicle and her boyfriend in the car said I pushed her and ripped the keys out of her pocket. I was furious, never had anything before. Was a model Citizen zombie. Now my record was tarnished forever. Brother bailed me out after a few days from Washington State ( I was in Tennessee) I bought a 1,000 dollar lawyer, and then reminded my ex that the house would be forclosed on if I stayed in and there would be know money coming in for the kids. She dropped charges ( lucky her, my lawyer and I had proof that her boyfriend could not see anything from his friends car) and I was good to go with a deferment.
So I have nothing on my record. Thank God!

I'm not sure where you live but it sounds like the cops could have handled that situation a little better than they did.
