On to the final floor of Mt Moon!

I emerge from F, avoid 3, and strangely find nobody at point 4. Must be a Red/Blue exclusive. Huh. ANyhow, there's this Super Nerd (I swear, that's his actual name) guarding two fossils. I sic Ioi on his Grimer, doing super effective life draining attacks. Ioi ends the fight with full health. Like I said, I regrt naming him that. Anyhow, he switched to Voltorb, so I send out Rol, just in case it knows any electric attacks. Quick Attack makes short work of the lazily designed Pokemon. Finally, I send out Turkish to take care of his Koffing. Horn Attack>Smog.

Once I win, I take the Dome Fossil, because Kabutops is a badass. I get ready to leave and-

They start off with Ekans, I send out Turkish. As usual, Horn Attack is overpowered. Spurg comes out to deal with Meowth, who has a powerful Bite attack. He gets hurt, so Turkish bails him out. I leave Turkish in to deal with Koffing. Turkish levels up to 16!

OMG! I have a Nidorino!

Anyhow, the pair runs off and I emerge on Route 4.

Easiest. Route. Ever.

Anyway, I stop and find another Spearow along the way. I'd have preferred a new mon, but okay. His name is Dengle.

In Cereleun City, I stop at the Center, deposit my spare Spearow and excess items, and save the game.

Another Spearow... well at least Pie has a boyfriend now.

This update should be a short one. I just plan on doing a bit of training on Route 4 before I move on. So put on your favorite montage music and let's get going! Spurg learns Karate Chop, which is Normal type this gen, and Turkish learns Poison Sting. He's getting pretty powerful. Rol learns Double Team. Ioi has some trouble, so I switch him out to get partial XP for a while. Pie learns Fury Attack. And, finally, Ioi learns Bite, making him a fully functional party member.

I'm going off to the gym.

I start with just the first trainer, hoping to power up Rol. He goes down easily. As does the second one. But Rol is still only at level 17... Misty has a full-fledged Starmie at level 21 with a Bubblebeam...

I train him to level 20, at which point he learns could have learned Slam if I didn't prefer Quick Attack. Do you think this is enough to deal with Starmie?

I've never done a Nuzlocke Run before, I'm terrified for Rol. And myself! And my brother, and all the other mons. Starmie is tough. Maybe you should go try your luck for a Bellsprout?

I'd have to go north for that. And that would mean facing Blue among others. It would be almost as dangerous as Misty.

Misty will fuck your ass. Wait till after you see Bill. That Starmie will be crushing on a nuzlocke run
