"R4pe every encounter..." I laughed my bloody 4ss off! lol

NidoPie would've been a wicked name, though! XD

Spurg, the poster-mon who's quick to anger! nyuk nyuk...

It's to bad you can't rename Mr. Mime, I wouldn't mind you name him after me. -_-

That Nidoran is an extremely good catch. When fully evolved and with the right TMs he can destroy LT Surge, Koga, Blaine and that grass pokemon girl (forgot the name). Sabrina will rape crush him, but you can't beat everyone with one pokemon.

Two questions about the run: How does the rules affect fishing? And grinding? (yes, I'm thinking in Magikarp/Gyarados)

Fishing is essentially an alternative to tall grass, and is actually a viable way to capture Pokemon in urban areas. For example, if I need a Surfer late in the game, I'll return to Viridian City and fish in that pond to the South-West.

Grinding is allowed, but cautioned against. Grind too much, and you increaase the likelihood of a wild mon getting a critical hit, or your team being too powerful to capture new mons.

Before I actually get to training, I forgot to grab a mon from Viridian Forest!

I named him Mugen.

After that, I go to Route 1 to train my team to level 7 or so. I keep on switching to Rol to take out Pidgeys in one hit.

What does it take to impress him?

Rol learns Thunder Wave, Mugen evolves and learns Harden, and everyone is stronger! But before I move on, there is some business to take care of...

Blue is going down!

He has two Pokemon against my four. He starts off with a level 9 Spearow, by far the strongest mon I've yet encountered. Fortuantely, I start off with Rol, who takes it down in two hits. Next up is his level 8 Eevee, which I stun with a Thunder Wave. I land four Thundershocks to his Sand Attack and Tackle, but that one tackle does 7 damage. I switch to Spurg, who finishes them off with a Scratch. Victory is mine.

Next time on Game Grumps Pokemon Nuzlocke Yellow; Viridian Forest... of DOOM!

This is so much fun. Reminds me of Playing Blue the day the game came out. Everything was "WOW, awesome!" all day long. I can't wait until you get Squirtle!

Got any metalwork skills?

I bought a couple copies of Gold and Silver with broken batteries and got the batteries switched out.
