7th December, €349 - games to retail for €69.90?

French retailer FNAC has apparently revealed the European release date for the Wii U, as well as a potential price.

French site Jeuxactu broke the news, along with a photo showing a promotional flyer in a Paris store.

Here's what the site had to say about the news (magically converted into a barely readable form of English using Google Translate):

Nintendo kept secret by a curiously quiet until now, the price and release date of the Wii U come to be formalized by the retail chain FNAC. This kind of fits with the rumours that EU would get the system later than US... But c'mon, games for 69 euros?! Not a chance!!

EDIT: daaaamn! Apparently games ARE sold for 79 euros nowadays!!! So 69 euros would be pretty sweet :D

I looked at Amazon Germany, and they'd list AC3 for 79 I think...?

if us will be 349 dollars, europe will be 349 euro (obviously the euro countries). if us price will be 249 dollar, we will get 249 euro here.

AAA games are €69 these days (and since the beginning of the gen) in Europe, so that's not so surprising. But anyway, releasing that late and for that price is a bad move if true, IMO. Then again, Europe always get screwed and this is nothing compared to what Sony usually does.

prices seem too high to me. i'd wager they are placeholders not real prices.

hmmm...$350 seems like a probable price to me...the only thing that worries me is the release date..WAY to late imo
