I'll be glad if it ditched the controls of Skyward Sword. I couldn't stand them at all. Caused me to completely lose interest in the game.

I thought your mom ended up liking them!

We both ended up giving up.

If you have to work to get the controls to do what you want then it is shit. No ways around that, lol.

This is from a life long Zelda fan. (No, fan does not mean I accept whatever shit they hand me. My standards don't drop for bullshit loyalty lol)

Controlling the golden beetle is beyond frustrating.

Really? I thought that was actually one of the highlights. The only bit I didn't like was the initial aiming of it because of their rather odd decision to not use the IR camera for pointing controls. In fact that was my only major gripe with the gameplay aspects, I kind of got used to it but I still don't understand why they thought it was a good idea.

Once in flight the beetle is controlled purely by tilting the remote, so if you keep it flat it will fly straight and level, twist it to the left or right to turn, and tilt it forward or backward to change altitude (exactly the same as the plane in Wii Sports Resort if you have played that, or indeed the same as flying links bird... though the sky area does have a lot more room to maneouver if you find it difficult)

Am I the only one here thinking the information in the OP is just a big pile of nonsense? -_-'

Nintendo Network ID: Cheebee   3DS Code: 2320 - 6113 - 9046

Seems very ambitious. Hope they can pull it off!

well everybody wants this to be true, thats why ;)

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

I don't believe this, when have we ever had a leak on a zelda game?

But regardless I hope they don't you the artstyle from either Skyward Sword or the Wii U tech demo (which just looked like a rushed Twighlight Princess copy). I'm hoping for a new take on the zelda world, probably sudo realism but with really abstract art direction.

The only thing that does excite is the idea of this game begining production in 2010, I'm not sure if Nintendo overlaps core zelda games like that though

Zelda's are always the game which makes me pick up a nintendo console, can't wait for more information =)

Sounds all good, but to be honest a lot of it could be made up by anyone and the rest is just common sense.

I'd love to have the next Zelda game be somewhat like described in the article though, and don't mind the supposed Skyward Sword artstyle. It also doesn't mean it'll look anything like the Wii game. The article mentions Link "looks like a more detailed Link from Skyward Sword". This probably means, the level of detail like the E3 demo, but the colours and the textures have the 'paint' style of Skyward Sword.

All I hope anyway, is that for the next game Epona is brought back so there are no more wierd travel mechanics, the main antagonist is Ganon(dorf) and there are more places to visit besides the usual hub-world/city like in the older games. It's time to be a little more tradional in the world design.

There was one thing in the article that kind of bugged me, it mentions that the game will feature "about the same amount of dungeons like the previous games". Well that's convenient. So we can be sure the game has anywhere between 4 and 12 dungeons. Now we still don't know anything!

Compare these images above and their inherent items, to the ones below:

What of it?

If you mean Skyward Sword is a smaller game than Ocarina of Time, than I agree. The new one should be a lot bigger.

HD graphics, same visual style as Skyward Sword

Nintendo are said to be very pleased with the art direction and visual style of Skyward Sword, and are continuing this look. Of course, it’ll be in full HD with much improved quality compared to what we saw on the Wii.

If it looks anything like this...

 then...

I would love that to be the stile of the next game more than what the SS in game style is!

this is just to over hype us and then we will be crushed when we see what Nintendo has even though it might be very big it won't be as big as the hype makes it seem

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

Hire better composers please. And put in a real overworld. Shit, get Monolith Soft to design it.

That's about it.

The "overworld" in SS was terrible.

I don't understand the SS art style hate. With the exception of TP, all zelda games have had a bright color palette, even OoT.

And for the folks who are only 1 dungeon in to SS: the beginning of the game is kinda slow. It really picks up as you go along, and I think it has some of the best dungeon mechanics in a zelda game. Just wait till you go sailing through a sea of sand.
