The only thing I liked about the video was when he mentioned the Sony fanboys and showed a picture of N4G lol.

This is probably the first time I've agreed with sterling.
Generally he is a troll, but everything here was spot on.
Yet, it's not such a massive deal that it stops me from buying their games, but it is a nuisance and it's definitely a problem.

So... do you have anything on topic to say? Other then a chain of completley unrelated strawman comments that may or may not have been said by the same people about the vita?

so let me get this straight, this guy is essentially bitching about getting PSone games on the Vita right ?
I hardly think that service is a big system seller or a purchasing deterrent. Concerning the piracy stuff, has the PSvita been jailbroken ?
and he is comparing the vita to an ipad whereas vita's main problem is the 3ds with its evergrowing library of original titles and not some minor services that people don't use that much anyway.
Classic attention seeking "angry" video game "journalism"

Wow I hate that man.
He makes some decent points concerning the release of PSone games. How they should have been there much sooner, how they should have been 100% available, but the rest of it is complete idiocy. Certifications are the reason why they aren't all available at once. Sony is dealing with tons of publishers in order to get a green light on placing games on a new piece of hardware. It seems what Sterling would be happier with would be god damn ignorance and not having any PSone games for another 6 months so that Sony can have them all put on the store at the same time, and he'd be happy as a f%*@king clam because he wouldn't know any better. That's what that means in his comparison to Apple, with Apple you just wouldn't have those features and you wouldn't have them until they are fully available. Sure it's elegance but is that better than not having anything at all. I find it far better to roll out the service to make them available as soon as possible than to delay just so dim wits like Sterling will shut the f@%* up. He also lied about the number of titles available in Europe. Pretty sure it was 129 not 50. Sure Sony could have started this process long before Vita launched and had everything available, criticize them for that then and don't bullsh*t some reason that's beating around the bush.
As for piracy. Good luck! I'm sure the system isn't set up to combat that specifically and the firmware won't be important after years of updating. If all you care about is PSone games than just get a PSP and...hold on...you don't even need to hack it. Do that while all the new great games come out on Vita. If service was the main reason for hacking it wouldn't be a god damn problem and Sony wouldn't have people like Sterling "threatening" it or pointing it out as a bad thing for their company. You know, because hackers only do it for the service. If that was true Sony wouldn't have to worry about it. Inconsistent douche.
I bet he doesn't even like Tomba! :P
Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

First of all, the guy is pretty much the gaming industries version of Rush Limbaugh. His purpose is to be as sensationalistic as possible. I really dislike tabloids and I'm sad that he's turned Destructoid into The Sun. Justifying piracy by saying a company "deserves to be ripped off" is pathetic. Stealing from a place because you don't like them is not a valid response; refusing to buy from them is.
As long as you attempt to make a profit, and as long as you have overhead of your own, you can never beat piracy. Machinarium, a game you can get easily and cheaply without DRM, saw like a 90% piracy rate. Implying that you can "beat" piracy by being nice is absurd. It's like saying you can beat shoplifting by leaving your business unlocked at night.
Now, that being said, I don't like measures that hurt consumers more than they hurt pirates, which is what most DRM does, including Steam. The last time my internet went out I ended up playing on my PS3 because I couldn't play the game I wanted to play on Steam.
Regardless, people pirate a game because they want to play it for free. The only way the gaming industry could compete with that would be to give games away, which would kind of mean no more video games would be made.

They are...kind of. Cross Buy and PS Plus are sort of giving games away for free.
