Wow I hate that man.
He makes some decent points concerning the release of PSone games. How they should have been there much sooner, how they should have been 100% available, but the rest of it is complete idiocy. Certifications are the reason why they aren't all available at once. Sony is dealing with tons of publishers in order to get a green light on placing games on a new piece of hardware. It seems what Sterling would be happier with would be god damn ignorance and not having any PSone games for another 6 months so that Sony can have them all put on the store at the same time, and he'd be happy as a f%*@king clam because he wouldn't know any better. That's what that means in his comparison to Apple, with Apple you just wouldn't have those features and you wouldn't have them until they are fully available. Sure it's elegance but is that better than not having anything at all. I find it far better to roll out the service to make them available as soon as possible than to delay just so dim wits like Sterling will shut the f@%* up. He also lied about the number of titles available in Europe. Pretty sure it was 129 not 50. Sure Sony could have started this process long before Vita launched and had everything available, criticize them for that then and don't bullsh*t some reason that's beating around the bush.
As for piracy. Good luck! I'm sure the system isn't set up to combat that specifically and the firmware won't be important after years of updating. If all you care about is PSone games than just get a PSP and...hold on...you don't even need to hack it. Do that while all the new great games come out on Vita. If service was the main reason for hacking it wouldn't be a god damn problem and Sony wouldn't have people like Sterling "threatening" it or pointing it out as a bad thing for their company. You know, because hackers only do it for the service. If that was true Sony wouldn't have to worry about it. Inconsistent douche.
I bet he doesn't even like Tomba! :P
