I though Final Fantasy XIII was just ok, XIII2 was much improved. This to me, looks fun!!!

Well the ARPG system is partially influenced by paradigms & dress spheres so the XIII system isn't completely lost in that sense.
But yeah I will miss that battle system a lot.

i wouldn't call it improved since they are actually very different games focusing on different things, story driven concept / player driven concept
but my bone with XIII-2 is how damn easy it was
i hope they hire "From Software" to balance the new one !

XIII-2 being too easy ruined the battle system.
Funny people said pressing X was all FFXIII was about but that never applied to me...I always died unless I changed paradigms a lot in the main story.
But in XIII-2 it REALLY was all about just pressing X after a certain point midway through the game. And putting it on hard mode did nothing.
Yeah, the battles were way too easy in XIII-2 up until the final area where I got 1hko'd by some monsters.
In XIII, I used all the paradigms in battle too, except for maybe the first half of the game. You can't just keep pressing X on the eidolon battles either.
