So it was all a bluff then.

No read carefully what i said again.  I said it was talked about and asked "IF" it was decided to go through with how many people would need to sign it(which the mods avoided btw).  I even said it was never decided if there will be one.

Id suggest you pay a little more attention for now on instead of putting words into people's mouth.  And that goes for all of you.  I had no idea you guys were over here all bent out of shape about this until someone notified me what was going on

So, im guessing said petition would be about the removal of specific mods.  Am I right?  Thats pretty much the only thing I can think of that a petition would even be for....

Which if it is about any of the new mods, it would seem premature.  Let them learn and grow as a mod for a few months before you get all upset about them.

Sounds reasonable. The current underground movement is probably a union of the splinter groups of the battered Mario Kart 8 movement. JayWood2010 wants to host a tournament and since the original attempt to push for a change went down in flames, they now opted to remove Conegamer altogether.

I think it's only a matter of time until the underground movement captures our fluffy NintendoPie and sends us body pieces of him until the mod team gives in to their demands.

Perhaps T-bone is a part of this, a second attempt to usurp Smash from Trucks.

Stealing NintendoPie and slicing him up would have been more effective if his parents hadn't denounced him already.

Which mod do you go to when you suspect an alt?

Or should I just keep that information to myself since I'm not certain it is an alt?

If you suspect an alt, please report a post from said alt and whoever is online will take a look.

If there's no posts, then send any of us a PM with their account URL and we'll handle it

Was I really wrong in my suspicion?

I'm sorry, I never saw a report.

Still, another moderator would have, looked at it, checked and ensured that they weren't an alt.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

As much as this is a sticky I never noticed it before now... seems things have been getting active in here in the last few days.

Well I say active, in the same way I could type "you can't believe how big this message really is" but it means absolutely nothing, just a hollow empty rattling of cans.

On topic tho, the moderation on this site is the only reason I post here, between the range of different cultures and personalities that the mods have I think they combine to do a fucking great job. Would say Brett is happy with how they keep things in check here on the forums, for people who just come to VGchartz for a look the place is very welcoming for the most part.

It's me again, so you know what this means. Injustice was done, this time to tbone51.

Ban reason (from starcraft):

"I sent you a PM'd warning asking you not to antagonize another member in his thread. I ask you to steer clear of each other until the bad blood dies down. Not 5 minutes later you're calling him out on his wall. I do my utmost not to ban people unless its absolutely necessary, but that is outright ridiculous."

Thread in question: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=183754&page=1

In a nutshell, what goes down between tbone and Seece is that tbone asks for a correction for the title of a game, but Seece refuses to make the necessary change. Things that can be deduced from the thread:

1) Super Smash Bros. for Wii U was and is not the only game that is listed with an incorrect title in this thread.
2) Mario Kart 8 was originally listed as Mario Kart 10, but immediately corrected by Seece after it was pointed out.
3) Seece changed Super Smash Bros. Brawl to Super Smash Bros. which was once again incorrect, so tbone had to ask for another correction.
4) Instead of putting the correct title on the list, Seece resorts to reporting tbone (history between both users definitely plays a part, both in the refusal to correct the list and the reporting).

Then tbone gets banned for antagonizing Seece (see ban reason). And that's outright ridiculous because it was the other way around. Seece also posted this on starcraft's wall:

"Hey man, can you please sort tbone out in my thread, he's spamming."

Sorting it out could have been achieved by simply giving in to tbone's demand (and that's what starcraft should have told Seece). The only reason why a problem existed is because Seece made it happen and that's essentially baiting. How hard is it to add two words to a list?

tbone's ban should not be upheld and if anything, Seece should be the one to get a warning.

no

Thanks for the valuable input.

...

Anyway, I've got another one. A user got moderated for something harmless:

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6342303

Put a note into his moderation history that this moderation should be disregarded for future moderations.

I am not worried about being modded here. I called a long to frenemy a  fanboy, wow. Meaning friend and enemy. lol  (This is a real American term). Even though i think I have called you worse and other users I have known in on here for some time without a ban.

I did not agree with you at all here to such a large extent I thought the only worthwhile response was no. That is all. The word no alone means a lot.  I agreed with the ban.

We already had this out to the 'nth degree on my wall, an interaction you've clearly ignored when drafting this post.

As already discussed I was the only Mod online when the infraction occured.  Prior to your commenting on my wall I had already refered the matter to Mod chat for review.

Once tbone returns - if he feels there is an issue - I will be happy to discuss the private interactions we had that you've (seemingly deliberately?) failed to acknowledge played a major role in your post, even though you're aware of them. Indeed, much of what you've posted about was ultimately irrelevant in the decision to ban tbone.
