While more MK8 threads are obviously on the way, their topics will be much more interesting than that! You can look through my thread history and see for yourself that I've never made one as dumb as the ones you're supposedly looking forward to!

I don't see why it is such a big deal that users need to host multiple tournaments? Good grief people, you can't just participate, you have be in control of the tournament? There aren't that many people on here that are willing to do tournaments anyway. You get multiple tournaments going on and they all become lame.

Also, I'm suddenly very happy that I have been pessimistic on mario kart since the start. I would have been super annoyed to see that in my email inbox. Hopefully that doesn't happen with smash...

Plus, why do you need a thread on here for tournaments anyway? If you have their nintendo id's, you could just organize it on your wii u. Or you could organize it within the official thread. You could organize it in the nintendo nation thread. You could organize it through pm. There are tons of ways to freaking organize your own tournament without having a bunch of premature threads on the same subject that will get the information of a bunch of users who probably won't even get the game right away. Plus, any secondary tournament will most likely have less support and be less fun than an officially organized tournament anyway.

My advice to the people complaining, sit back and think about what you are actually complaining about. You are complaining that you don't have to do a bunch of work for a bunch of random annonymous people over the internet. Is that really something you want to complain about? really?

back when mario kart wii was the shit we actually had 5 different threads for different regiosn why is this suddenly a problem?

up untill now i wans't involved in the whole discussion but i can se myself creating a mk8 online thread in the onlineforum or hey let me atleast have the mk9 offical thread and the ssb5 thread....

Thank God this was shutdown. We wouldn't want more than one Mario Kart thread, it would have completely destroyed the site. Now someone please permaban toastboy for making the same "WiiU is doomed" thread 800 million times.

i mean regulating spam threads i'm all for that but if there are actualy differnt groups of users who don't play in the same group what is the fucking problem if they want their own league.. this is taking the moderating a step to far

This is fair, we'll see how it goes :) There weremultiple MK7 tournies a year ago, i hosted them. There were some others trying to as well (temporary threads for 1 day tourney). There wasnt a problem.

Ninpie should do a official one, no problem there. Einsam was just saying if he can (once in awhile) do a temp thread for his on 1 day tourney (meaning not an official one).

Ex: Conegamer runs a weekly tourney (just 1) currently on Sunday, but wat if somebody wants to play another day or just more than once? Thats all!

But we'll wait and see like you suggested

Oh I was under the impression that all tournaments had to be only organised by NintendoPie, but if we are allowed to organize our own tournaments any time then I have no problem with it and prefer just one Mario Kart tournament thread.

Maybe you need to change your vgchartz email settings then.
