Of course we'll disagree because we've already explained about a billion times now how all your arguments don't work. In short, the site already has too many threads, and history is irrelevant compared to the now!

Also, proof that seperate threads are better. A few weeks back I hosted a MK7 tournament in a separate thread. We got 8 people. Prior to that, I hosted a tournament within the Nintendomination thread. We got like 4 people...

And if you wanna help the community, stop this silly tournament thread restriction. That's what much of the community wants as you can see by that list I posted earlier.

Your list of people who support you only had your side of the story. Please read Rol's post and tell if that setup suits you because that sounds pretty damn reasonable to me.

If Im being silly and missing something, feel free to tell me to shut up.

Not being SILLY Anywayzzz,Here is an example....

Ex: Truck (One of the mods here) and myself plan on doing SSB tournies in the future (whether that means in 1 thread or separate), but does that mean if somebody else wanted to host their own thread for SSB they CANT!? They have to follow mine/Truck schedule???

At first this doesn't sound too bad but it has MANY FLAWS. Especially in the cases of Big Games such as Destiny/COD/MK/etc, Here are the list of them below...

⇒All The Power Goes To A Single Person

⇒Who Ever CLAIMS The Official Thread is the one to do it (This could be problematic)

⇒Host Rules Time and Schedule (Most important): The guy who does a tourny is the one to put out the time of when the event starts. Usually are the Week End Days. Problem here is everybody has different schedules and things to do. If one person controlled this then how can many of us play unless there are other Tournies Represented

⇒One Person Is not enough (For big games such as MK+SSB), Ties in with the reason above. If the person is absent/late/etc then we all cant do a tourny/etc intill they come back?

Its BS! Since When is there a rule to say you cant make a game (with your own thread) cuz somebody else has their own?

Lastly, No control in an official Thread. People who wnt to play but cant change the op/give out specific times to ply cuz only the User who owns the thread can change this wont have a way to let others kno when something is up and running. This has happened in the past many times. As The1 who didn't kno MK7 tournies was going on.

When i hosted tournies i made a thread and organized Messages thrughout the community!!! :)

Creating a consistent expectations for tourneys is a good idea.

I think where this got out of hand is that ED was denied the privilege of organizing an "official" MK8  tourney thread, presumably because Conegamer and NinPie already "own" the series.

Given ED's love and support for MK8 on this site, it is reasonable to let him organize official tournaments for Mario Kart 8. In fact, I practically expected it prior to this fiasco.

I think the policy towards who can organize an "official' tournament should be something like this:

-A member in good standing

-More or less recognized as a #1 poster/enthusiast of the game -- regardless of their affiliation as a mod or member of an "official" something else

EDIT -- I nowrealize having to many "official" anything can be confusing. So let "unofficial" be sanctioned following the criteria above

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

I plan on bumping it soon so people will take notice that this is where I intend to have my Tourneys be held. And the MK8 community in general. I have been editing it to get it ready.

Note that NinPie is currently working through it but you get the jist of it; also how long it's been there for.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Einsam, we've also tried to explain to you how your arguments "don't work." You act as if you are the one in the automatic right here, but you aren't. You've brought points to the table, and some I agree with, but not all are through-and-through good like you are trying to prove.

You guys have just been saying the same things over and over after I've already countered them. Do I really need to copy paste the discussions I had with axumblade and conegamer? I'd rather not, as some behavior that's unlike a head moderator was displayed there. :L

How many people are usually in ConeyG's races? How do you not know that, in comparison to the MK7 races, this number will hugely increase thanks to MK8 being a new game? In this case, the numbers will be different. My thread will definitely be in the Hot Topics and people will take notice. I intend to bump my thread after all my edits are done in order to have people take early note so they can plan ahead.

Of course the numbers will be higher, just like they would be for separate threads aswell. I never said there's anything wrong with official threads hosting tournaments so I don't see your point here.

Seriously though, you don't have the whole community in those PMs. You were also not telling the complete truth in those PMs, which ConeyG and I have both shown to be true. You act like we want a dictatorship over how and exactly what times these tourneys are hosted. We don't. Our intiative is plastered all over this thread, but you refuse to even listen. Instead you automatically label our arguments as silly and false.

I never said I had the whole community, just a pretty significant portion, and what I said in the message was based off what I knew at the time of sending, being that other people could not make tournament threads, which still seems to be the case here, unless I'm wrong which I hope I am!

Response in quote!

What's up with the silence?

Either it has dawned on Einsam and tbone how easy it is or their brains are still processing the proposed solution and have yet to come to a conclusion.

Who knows, but I have to stress to everyone that this was discussed in the very first PM:

"For now, NintendoPie will be handling the tourneys in his thread and I will be doing one on a monthly basis most likely (I'll be manning his thread for a few weeks in the summer however). These official rounds will take place at the same time as the current MK7 tourneys take place, and there will be a free group for people to take part in outside of that during the week. However, ranked matches will take place during the Sunday Tourney and the Monthly Tourney only.

I was unaware that this information was not passed on until Einsam posted the PM so I can understand the confusion. Apologies for that. I do approve of your suggestion to link the times in the OP, I believe the plan was to have it just in the OP but that could get pretty messy pretty quickly.

It is reasonable, but I still don't understand the big deal with other people making threads.

I guess I should of went over how that sounded more like random meet ups than an actual organized event giving people proper notice. :L
