I can't be sure if that was the case with your previous bans, but I find it very hard to believe that it wasn't.

And so, it all boils down to one simple point; "why do you keep being moderated"? From the previous responses in this thread from moderators and other users alike, it should be fairly obvious. You're breaking the rules, plain and simple. You may feel as though you've been mistreated or the victim, and maybe if it was one moderator or one instance, fine. But it's not, it's a definitive pattern. Some other users do question bans when they see them, but I personally message them to clear any issues up and that's the end of that.

What I think is, you've made your point here in this thread. Continuing this will get us absolutely nowhere. If you try and please cut down on the insults or be more civil to other users, then hopefully we won't be having to go near the moderate button again. So how about we leave it at that. Otherwise, we will moderate for spamming this thread. Consider this not only advice, but also a warning.


The reporting system is flawed. I'm not sure exactly how it works but I reported two people and no moderation was handed to either. That's when I messaged Kantor and he said "Acting like an idiot. slight difference."  However, the other one he didn't even comment on was multiple direct insults in a single post. There was also another time after the "don't shoot the messenger" thread where I reported multiple people who were saying things like "Oh youre just a butt hurt sony fan" with no moderation handed

I personally have my 14 day ban you handed to me but don't take what I'm saying in this thread too personally because some cases were LOOOOOONNNNGGGG before you. Like a year ago

Its a VERY common occurence that the mods will only ban one person (and usually not the instigator) while multiple people are doing the same thing. Look at the thread I called Dark Feanors denial pathetic. I wasnt the only one who used those words to describe him.

As for my issue,I can find a plethora of people complaining so easily. I can find quotes from the mods so easily. I can find a slew of posts that don't get moderated while others are so easily.... That should be very telling. And now that more people are coming in here and commenting on it. You can ignore me and shrug me off for being a trouble maker (which is just illogical and ignorant) but it gets to the point that you cant deny theres an issue anymore (exactly like Dark Feanor) and when it goes past that point it becomes a joke.

The issue here is that toastboy makes loads of those silly threads and if the mod team tolerates that, then responses have to be tolerated too in order to make it fair game. It's a rule I live by as I make similar threads. If you dish out, you also have to be able to take it. Therefore I would never report anyone who flames me, the messenger, in such a thread. In the past I have even asked mods to overturn moderations for flaming (the few times it happened), because it feels so dishonorable when that happens.

If the moderators don't realize what's going on, then they are prone to be played by people who use the "don't shoot the messenger" rule to write thinly disguised flamebait (or post one from another website) to get people of opposed fanbases banned. That doesn't necessarily mean that the thread creator will be the one who does the reporting. From the same thread as above:

This post basically triggered Conegamer to step in and act. Now I don't know if you'll agree with me, but bubblegamer is what I consider a bad user. Which makes it all the more of a problem when that breed of poster is able to control the direction of moderation. Conegamer, you got played in this instance. The post you moderated was for calling out the OP for writing bullshit which the quoted section clearly is. Everyone knows it, including toastboy who wrote it.

Lastly, I want to say that I am not going after Conegamer, it's a mere coincidence that he was involved in both cases I posted. TruckOSaurus was the guy who banned me last week.

In this scenario, I was planning on stepping in before I even saw that post. Just so happens to be that I saw his comment, and thought it was worthwhile replying to an actual user, because that way it's likely to get a reply and make it more obvious to see. That way, it's clear in the thread and people are reminded not to do it, and if anyone does continue then they know they will be moderated (as happened). Toastboy does indeed make a lot of threads like this, which is something we are discussing now as well and how to tackle it (so rest assured that it's under control now!), but for this thread every other post was attacking the OP. Though I do see your point (something I agree with as well) so it is something which certainly needs to be considered.

As for your other points, the scenario with Outlaw and CGW could have been handled better and I made a misjudgement on that. It was discussed in mod chat and that was the decision; but it has subsequently been discussed and it was decided that upon reflection it was unneccessary so I would like to apologize to both users involved for any convinience caused. Also, yes your "jump off a cliff" comment could be seen as a joke, but there's a fine line between that and flaming, and in this instance we felt as though you just went a little too far, something which happened again less than 10 days later. For your thread, that was back in August so I can't comment on that.

Finally, your other posts were not moderated by me, nor was I online when the decision was taken so it would be better to discuss that with them; if you'd like then send a PM to then or the head moderator (Axumblade) to get their opinion on it.

Should never assume things, and get to emotionally involve in an none issue. That is my advice.

Everyone knows mods have their hearts removed upon promotion to ensure such methods will not work.
