Yea, it is totally weird that someone got pissed in a thread you made to piss people off. What happens on gaf or people guessing there really doesn't fit well in stereotyping the fanbase here. Could have just asked what you guys think would be the big rumoured xbox exclusive but what is the spice in that. 

Oh well. None of the mods replied regarding my second point for being more lenient towards moderation because of E3 season. So, that is that.

Maibe but that would be counter intuitive because i don't any anyone to get banned or moderated during the upcoming week. :)

Woah, no need to get so angry. CGW is right. He was deliberately antagonizing Sony gamers with his comments, which was very much close to banning. But when compared to other posts in the thread (as the one I put in the ban reason; there's only so much you can do), it showed a pattern and an agenda which was enough to throw the hammer down. 

Also, I'm not going to be more leniant coming to E3 and I sincerely doubt other mods would be as well. If people can't behave and not break the rules in the week before E3, when they're on a ban length of a week or more, then perhaps they don't deserve to be here for it.

To clarify, the moderation system is a progressive one; so we can't just give someone a 20 day ban, then a warning for the same thing. It's completely counter-intuitive and messes with the system (I've been confused by certain generous moderation a couple of times already). So people breaking the rules before E3 will be punished exactly the same as any other time of year; from me at least.

Being more transparent and clear so people understand exactly what we do is one of the key things (for me at least). So hopefully people will realize that it's not "deliberately mean", it's more "keeping constant so people know what's right and wrong". If that seems harsh, then I apologize but it's the best approach IMO.

Im pretty sure i made a thread about this before or asked someone but i was just on another forum and i was able to lock my own thread. It isnt the first forum ive been able to do that either. Why doesnt VGC give us this option? Mods may not have control of this but it would b nice to pass it along to the right people

Sadly, we have a shopping list of things that need fixing and minor upgrades but we haven't had any luck getting anything done so far.
