Video game developer/publisher Natsume Inc. has announced a November 6, 2012, release date for 3DS game Harvest Moon: A New Beginning. The date also marks marks the 15th anniversary for the series in North America. To celebrate, Natsume will be releasing a special Anniversary Edition of the game.

"Fans have been anticipating an official release date for Harvest Moon: A New Beginning since it was announced in May," said Hiro Maekawa, President and CEO at Natsume. "As a treat to our fans, new and old, we have a remarkable 15th Anniversary Edition with a never-before-seen plushie to go with it."

Fans can already pre-order Harvest Moon: A New Beginning via GameStop and soon via the Natsume Online Store -- allowing pre-orderes to receive an adorable yak plushie along with the game itself. The Anniversary Edition will feature the biggest plush yet: a cuddly twelve-inch Harvest Moon cow. The Anniversary Edition will be available exclusively on the Natsume Online Store. Pre-orders for this special edition begin on September 24th.

Harvest Moon: A New Beginning has been rated "E for Everybody" by the ESRB.

This is the real 3DS Harvest Moon (the first of many to come lol)

That other one which released last year was a port of a DS game - does not count.

Just like many franchises (including animal crossing), this follow the rule "play 1 per generation"
