Two masterpieces.

About equal in their extreme quality but Demon's Souls wins thanks to (even) better atmosphere and for being harder. I love that they paid homage to Oblivion though by making Dark Souls more open world.

You mean Kings Field, I dont think From ever cared about TES.

No, I mean From. In several interviews they complemented Oblivion in the context of making Dark Souls more open world.

oh I never knew that, should check out thosei nterviews.

Just curious guys sorry for being OT but I don't want to make a thread of this.

How many play throughs did you have in Demons Soul's?

I haven't beaten dark souls yet but from what i've played so far after restarting since I lost my data(over 100 hours gone) dark souls is a step easier than demon souls(which I've beaten) the patch actually made Dark Souls more manageable, In my new game, I only played for like 10 hours and I'm already done with blight-town, but again that could just be my knowledge of what's to come

Dark Souls.

Demon's Souls simply because of the multiplayer. Demon's Souls used dedicated servers which has a huge advantage over Dark Souls.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

I love demon souls I bought dark souls but I just couldn't get into it and stopped playing.

Something about demons souls makes me feel powerful even tho I'm weaker then everything around me, beating enemy's with just skill is so rewarding.

Dark souls has a lot better pvp. but the atmosphere of Demon souls is better. Also Demon souls is a lot harder then Dark souls. I would say equal.

EVERGRACE!

or demon's.

don't waste time

Is there anyone that played dark souls first and demons souls second?
It's natural to like the original better, fresh experience, no expectations yet.

I've only played Dark souls which was great. I played it through 3 times and a bit.

@arcane_chaos I started over after getting stuck in Darkroot garden on my first character, leveling up the wrong stats. Prior knowledge means the world, the 2nd time I was done with blight town in less then half the time.

I didn't have any problem with multiplayer technically, although I generally avoided it. I hate getting invaded, so I would just sign out of psn whenever that happened. Sorry not interested in forced pvp.

I haven't picked up demon's souls yet since I thought the interconnected world design was the biggest star of the game. A nexus with disconnected areas feels like a big downgrade.

I've played Dark Souls first, and am now currently playing Demon's Souls.

I personally like Dark Souls more because I feel it has the better atmosphere. Demon Souls does, in fact, seem more challenging.

One thing I have to point out is that there is alot more freedom to customize your weapons in Dark Souls. In Demon's Souls I feel like I'm forced to use the best weapon I find with little room for upgrade paths.

Regardless of these two differences, both games are absolutely amazing and deserve to be played. Dark Souls is my favorite game this gen and Demon's Souls isn't too far behind.

I don't know why people tell me to get a life. I'm a gamer, I have lots of lives!
