Forums - Nintendo - Batman AC: Armored Edition for Wii U: Would You Buy It?

I didn't play either Arkaham Asylum or Arkaham City. With this being on the Wii U, with all DLC, good use of the game pad, and already receiving critical acclaim and fan praise of the 360 and PS3 versions, I'm really considering buying it, but most likely not at launch.

You can buy Arkham Asylum for 10 bucks at Gamestop. That's an amazing deal! And it's brand new!

No, i have all the DLC and ive played the game way too much already. Its not worth it for me to spend 60 bucks on a game i already played to use the funky new control features, but if you're an AC virgin then you are in for a treat.

I agree with you. I would feel the same way if I played it already on my 360 including all the dlc. But I'm glad I skipped it for the Wii U version so I could have a fresh start.

thats good for you, no really, im not being sarcastic.  Game of the year addition costs 40 which has all the DLC(including the Harley one). But the game is so damn good, if you wanna pay sixty for it on Wii u with the extra funk on it, go for it, especially if you're getting Wii U anyway.

It's not outside the realm of possibility.

But i need a real job first.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I played Arkham Asylum on my ps3. I decided to wait for the WiiU version for AC because last fall theyr was sooooo many good games to play. I couldnt possibly buy/play them all, so I decided to focus on Skyward Sword, also played UC3 and Skyrim. I had to pick a few games that I will have to pass, so I decided it would be AC since I knew I would get a other chance on WiiU with arguably a better version.

I don't regret my choice, it looks awsome on Wii U and theyr is way less interesting games coming out this fall for me so I will atleast have more time to play it.

What?! I can't hear you over all this awsome! - Pyrrhon (Kid Icarus:Uprising)

Final Ultimate Legendary Earth Power Super Max Justice Future Miracle Dream Beautiful Galaxy Big Bang Little Bang Sunrise Starlight Infinite Fabulous Totally Final Wonderful Arrow...FIRE! - Wonder-Red (The Wonderful101)

No. If I want to play it I'll get it (no doubt discounted by now) for the 360. The gamepad isn't really adding anything of interest to me.

haha thanks man. I hope Wii U games would sell for atleast 50 bucks just like the Wii games. 60 is just too much for me, that's why I wait for the 360 versions of the games to go on sale first before I buy.

Yes, I'm tempted to buy. I was between this and Ass Creed III, but I believe this one takes the cake

The scan thing on the gamepad made me dream of Metroid

I "somewhat" agree with the Metroid usage of the game pad. It can be used for scanning, or any other visor for that matter (Thermal, X-Ray, Echo...) by lifting the game pad toward the TV. I'm also thinking of it being used as a device for shooting distant targets (Game pad screen used to enlarge distant objects).

However, using the game pad would replace the far superior pointer controls by dual analog. After playing MP3, I just can't see myself return to dual analog for Metroid ever. I hope there is at least an option to choose between either control schemes for the next Metroid game.

Well, I don't have Gamestop where I live, but I hope I can find it cheap at my local retailer. I don't own either HD consoles unfortunately, but I have a PS3 nearby that I could use.

Well you're gonna be a little steamed because according to Amazon the game will in fact retail for 60. Now IMHO thats too much for a year late port, I dont care what that pad does in the game, especially since that is really the only thing is has over the other versions and they retail for about 20 bucks less(GOTY version). So you can either just buy the PS360 or PC version for cheaper now or if you have your heart set out on the Wii U version wait till the price drops, but for some reason i believer it'll be awhile
