I will never trust digital downloads totally. I like having a physical copy of a game. I have digital copies on my ps3.I have never had an issue with them so far. I just like having the physical copy to look at etc. I think people feel the same way I do.

the question is, if nintendo would sell a game in 10 years only digital, hoiw much would they sell less as if they would also sell it at retail and would they make even more money with it with lower sales?

in ten years, download sales and streams will be much higher. and of those who still buy retail games, many would buy it digital or stream it if they wouldn't get it at retail anymore. and since developers make more money with the same game digital  (or have much less costs) they could even live with the loss of some percent of overall sales.

and if they think they would make more only with digital then, they will stop selling games as retail versions.

in less than ten years means that he believes a ps5 or xbox whatever would be only digital and i see not many reasons why it shouldn't be like that
