If Sony releases a PS4, it better be ground breaking. Adding power just isn't enough. Last of Us and Beyond looks amazing on the PS3, so why need another PlayStation? They need to revolutionize the PlayStation in completely, whole new level.

That is actually an interesting debate. I agree with you that they need to bring something diferentiating to the table to avoid the same kind of disaster that the Vita was.

But, whats interesting about the home console market is that it isnt beeing replaced by another market like the portable gaming market. Sony can actually achieve that differentiation by not changing anything aslong as Microsoft launches with kinect and Sony promoted their system as the real gaming device (aka for hardcores). In the world of marketing, if you can get your message across, half the work is done. It has to be a good message though. ;)

Too bad, Sony's marketing isn't really that good laltey, especially with their Vita marketing. and what is there for Sony to market? And how are they going to combat the Wii U this year? I mean I'm pretty sure Nintendo will blow up  their marketing in the holidays and they have lots to promote, and Sony...they going to be overshadowed.

1. Early adopters within the first two years of its release pay the highest price for the privilege of early purchase of technology.
2. Backwards compatibility with PS3 and automatically boosting its games library.
3. Good games launch line up and upcoming games coming in its first few years to help boost console sales.

No, I don't.
