Just a PR misstep. They can't reveal Wii U launch date (which may yet be in doubt for Europe anyway), so they lump it in with the other verisons.

As said already it would need to be on par with other versions or nintendo may start to worry as ubi is one pushing most games for wii u.

I still find it funny they have to reassure people the Wii U version will be "the same" as the rest of the 7/8 year old consoles.

Its funny how people selectively apply dates to things while refusing to acknowledge facts that are not to there liking.

Given a nice doomsayer article claiming some type of inferiority on the Wii U's part, nobody brings out dates.

Given the technology used in the Wii versus the tech uses in the 360/PS3 nobody brings out dates.

I honestly don't get it. What is the point of it? Either they are comaparing dates or making comment like "wait until the PS4/720 come out". An event in which they will, once again, not brings dates into the equation because then it wouldn't be in the favor of their argument.

No acknolowdgement of any imrpovements. Just belitting in whatever way possible. Why does everyone try to force Nintendo into some competion with Sony and Micrsoft when Nintendo has made it clear that they do not care what they do so long as they aren't stealing their ideas? Then they start throwing calls to system that don't even exist.

Why can't people just take it as it is? ie, Assassin's Creed 3 will be better on the Wii U.

Either the PC version is downgraded or they are just givng a generalizations. If i recall corretly the wiiU had better textures so i expect the same for the pc.

It has better textures, better light/shadow quality and it runs at a higher frame rate. You can observe this in the comparison video.

Skip to :51 and take a look at the wall textures on the side. in the light area. The look at the shadows on the fence in the distance.

Hmmm.  Sounds like they're just saying that all versions are equally great.  Obviously the PC version will shine a bit over the PS360 versions.

Shane Satterfield from Game Trailers recently said that the game looks better (to him) on WiiU compared to PS360.  The fact that he speaks of the added functionality separately from the first statement suggests that he's talking about the graphics when he says "The WiiU version looks the best", although he doesn't say in what way (resolution, fps, etc):
