Well the holiday bundles will be $250 and come with a game and a memory card, so one can understand why they don't feel like doing so.

The bundle only comes with the system and game. They took out the memory card for whatever reason they didn't give.

Also, the latest bundles don't show it either. Don't know why they won't include it. It would've been perfect.

AC3L bundle comes with a black Vita? I thought it was White?

Europe doesn't get the White Vita, only America (bundle only) and Japan. As far as I know.

They took a much bigger hit with ps3 but still able to slash prices, often.
They can't do it now 'cause Sony as a whole is bleeding cash.

I was surprised there was anyone who thought Sony would cut price

Have youbseen their financials lately? Taking a larger loss on Vita hardware would be suicide until they can reduce the cost of the components themselves

They will cut the price next year when costs come down. Sony is bleeding too much right now otherwise they would have cut the price for the holidays.

It's just that simple.

So, why the sudden removal of the memory units?

Seriously...? You can't figure it out?

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

The Bundles + A Marketing Push (which Sony seems to have no care in the world about) might be enough to get them by this holiday. But if they don't do it next year (the price-cut) then the Vita would be almost dead. No two way's about it really.

If the Vita doesn't do well during the holidays, it will be dead, even with a price cut next year. The bundles don't help much either since there is still the same high barrier to entry. If they just cut the price to $200, there would be a lower barrier, and chances are that each person that buys one will get at least one game. Sony's marketing team is horrible.

perhaps another coffin nail for vita. hopefully not, don't let bigN dominate portable consoles.

Were you also the same guy saying the same things back in 2007 about the PS3? Don't flame by calling it another nail in the coffin. Atleast Sony is not in a hurry to do a panick pricecut wich will result in them losing more money like it happened with Nintendo.

i wasn't even registered in 2007... why are you writing such nonsense?

and why do i flame? i just posted my opinion and don't need your permission for anythiing.

the vita is too expansive and sony, well, tries to push proprietary storage *again*. bc also only for digitally bought games - fail.

but as always is your post biased when someone posts "against" your *holy cow*.

as said, i hope they change the storage to standard-solutions and make the thing cheaper. another way would be to leave "holes" for hackers, helped the psp...

As you can see, neither was I, you dont even understand what I'm saying. Implying Vita is dying and putting another nail in the coffin is just flaming. Don't pretend like you care for the Vita, we all know you don't.

No offense, but I kinda agree with him that you're acting overly defensive because of your obvious preference for Sony/Playstation.

As for the topic, it's understandable given Sony's financial situation. I maintain that the Vita is still not doomed. The bundles, an advterising push, and the upcoming wave of big games should still allow it to sell decently from when they hit until next year.

Are we all failing to realized that Memory Cards are not mandatory by any nature of the word? All the games that are being bundled won't require one as far as we know so the system is completely functional right out the box.

This is all for a great value of $249.

If gamers want to be able to download games/apps, the lowest Memory Card(4GB) is only 20 dollars more. Should that be cheaper? Yes, but its really not hair splitting worthy.

Yet I guess if they really want to market all the handheld's functions....it should come with a game and at least a 4GB to get everyone started.

You need a memory card to save on.  Therefore you'll need at least a 4GB one to play anything.
