I couldn't get past the first level of Dante's Inferno because it felt like a mediocre copycat of God of War. It was a terrible shame because I really wanted to like that game. I bought it even after being massively let down by the demo. I really should try and complete it.
If they are making a sequel, I hope they don't feel inclined to imitate God of War again :/
As for Dragon Age, is it OK to play the second before the first ? Story-wise I mean...
Time between DAo and DA2 was short, this time DA3 is taking a while, making changes probably but will be good to get it. Just hope they remove that stupid dialog wheel.

I agree, you should give Dante's Inferno a second chance. It is a blatant copycat of God of War but it's not mediocre by any means, apart from perhaps the graphics. The demo level put me off too, it was a boring level. But the game overall has fantastic atmosphere, feels dark and evil and has a story I loved.
It's certainly okay to play DA2 without having played Origins. It's a great game and the story is completely separate from Origins.

Edit: also the sony one s got a coutdoun and the EA one starts 2 hours earlier, it might be easier that way (EA starts in about 10 minutes).

You should play Origins first, altough the second has little to do with Origins but still you might get confused sometimes.
