Half-Life 3 and Dragon Age 3 to reveal this week, according to Gamescom product listing

Yes, for sure. A sequel to Dante's Inferno is confirmed to be in development (so strongly hinted by the developer about one year ago that it was basically a confirmation). The name is just my personal guess though.

I couldn't get past the first level of Dante's Inferno because it felt like a mediocre copycat of God of War.  It was a terrible shame because I really wanted to like that game. I bought it even after being massively let down by the demo. I really should try and complete it.

If they are making a sequel, I hope they don't feel inclined to imitate God of War again :/ 

As for Dragon Age, is it OK to play the second before the first ? Story-wise I mean...
